The students selected for this scholarship must be children of Arkansans who have died in the line of duty in service to their community, state of Arkansas, or the nation. This shall include policemen, firemen, forest service workers, members of the military and other types of services.
Financial need, community leadership, and potential to succeed in college are the primary
factors considered, although none are a determining factor.
This scholarship is renewable.
What you'll need to submit with your application:
• A written narrative discussing extracurricular activities, leadership roles in your school and community and how you will use this award to further your life goals.
• A current transcript.
• A copy of your birth certificate verifying your parent's identity.
• A brief note or letter explaining the circumstances of your parent's death.
• A copy of your parent's death certificate verifying cause of death.
